With a newfound passion golf, Sujoy Banerjee wants to lead a well-paced life...

My school education was from Don Bosco Park Circus where the foundation of my value architecture was laid. This was followed by a graduation in Political Science from Jadavpur University. My stint at JU exposed me to the world around me in terms of the socio-economic, socio-cultural and the socio-political dimensions affecting our life. This was followed by two years Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management from Xavier Institute of Social Service, Ranchi.

I was all along passionate about sports. This made me successfully represent my school, university and first division clubs in cricket. I continued pursuing this passion in my corporate life through active participation in inter-corporate tournaments for the various companies I worked for. Active involvement in cultural activities in school and university also contributed to my personality development. My engagement with a voluntary youth movement called "Rotaract" was like a finishing school to me - it taught me the requisite soft skills to lead, manage and achieve.

It was in June 1990 that I started my professional journey with Tata Motors at Jamshedpur. Over the last 21 years I have traversed many paths through organizations like Dunlop, ICI, Philips, BOC, Organon and now for the last eight years I am with the Williamson Magor Group first with Eveready Industries India Limited and now with McNally Bharat Engineering Company Limited. I have always and am still continuing to learn immensely from all my seniors in the HR fraternity, the business leaders and the people in the organizations.

The turning point of my life has been my marriage. My parents have certainly been a great support for me, but my wife and son have been the pillars of strength and source of inspiration to succeed.

I love to visit and eat out at exotic places, read books on managing self and life, autobiographies, watch good entertaining movies and listen to good music irrespective of genre. My new passion is golf but my intense liking for cricket and football continues. Reuniting with my old friends, reliving the memories of the past which I cherish so dearly is something which I am trying to do. I am also indulging in a lot of travelling with my wife and son.

Looking forward, I want to see my son succeed in life, achieve his goals and be happy in his life. I want to lead a well-paced life with my wife indulging in all those things which both us love to do.
