Olive Telecom, in association with Aircel announced the launch of the first Indian HSPA + smartphone - the OliveSmart V-S300. Powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon(tm) MSM8255(tm) processor and Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS, the OliveSmart V-S300  delivers the best-in-class 3G experience  that will  appeal to India's youth and young professionals.
In addition, it features a 5 megapixel camera with flash and auto-focus, front camera, accelerometer, proximity sensor Bluetooth v2.1, 32 GB expandable memory and a 1400mAh battery backup.
Launching the device, Arun Khanna, chairman, Olive Telecom said, "We are pleased to introduce a breakthrough convergence device, which is more than a conventional smartphone and offers cutting edge services that will appeal to generation-Y. With our sizeable R&D investments in the Olive Convergence range of mobile computing and communication devices, we are well-positioned to compete with the world's leading brands."
The phone has been launched in the Indian market at a price less than Rs 20,000.
